We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Wastewater Technician I for our Manufacturing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in Environmental Controls, Sampling, and Testing to join a dynamic and progressive team. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and controls.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
2. Conduct regular sampling and testing of wastewater to monitor its composition and identify any abnormalities or issues.
3. Interpret test results and make necessary adjustments to treatment processes to maintain optimal performance.
4. Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions, coordinating with other team members and external contractors as needed.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of system operations, testing results, maintenance activities, and other relevant data.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of wastewater treatment protocols and procedures.
7. Work closely with environmental control teams to ensure the effective implementation of waste management strategies.
8. Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team.
9. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to wastewater treatment and environmental control.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment, environmental controls, and sampling/testing in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong technical understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and controls.
3. Proficiency in sampling and testing procedures, with the ability to interpret results and make appropriate adjustments.
4. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions.
5. Excellent record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
7. Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
