Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and supervise water resources projects including stormwater management systems, drainage designs, and erosion control measures.
- Conduct field investigations, gather data, and analyze information to develop effective water resource management strategies.
- Utilize advanced software such as MicroStation, HydroCAD, Geopak, and HEC-RAS for the design and analysis of water resources projects.
- Prepare project cost estimates and provide technical support during the bidding process.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental scientists, geologists, and other engineers to ensure project success.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to water resources and environmental engineering.
- Continually monitor and adapt strategies based on changing environmental conditions or regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering, with a focus on drainage design and stormwater management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Extensive experience with water resources software tools such as MicroStation, HydroCAD, Geopak, and HEC-RAS.
- Proven experience in project cost estimation and budget management.
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices of water resources engineering, including stormwater management, erosion control, and drainage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a diverse range of audiences.
- Proficiency in conducting field investigations and data analysis.
- A strong commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
