Job Details

Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination between clients, government agencies and KEM staff.
  • Provide detailed design/plan development for water/wastewater treatment, pumping stations, sanitary collection
systems, water distribution systems and construction inspection.
  • Collaborate on new business development for KEM water/wastewater services.
  • Develop technical specifications, permit applications, sewer system evaluation surveys, cost estimates, etc.
  • Assist with development of project scopes and schedules.
  • Provide other duties as assigned by Directors.

Capabilities
  • Project coordination skills.
  • Knowledge and interest in treatment plants, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems along with other
public infrastructure design.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Must be a versatile team player that shows an eagerness to learn (interpersonal skills).
  • Candidates shall be dependable and exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes is preferred.
  • Requires understanding and/or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
  • Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
  • Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
