We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and self-motivated Permanent Workers' Compensation (WC) Defense Attorney to join our fast-paced and growing legal team. This opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a challenging environment and has a passion for protecting the rights and interests of our clients in workers' compensation cases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in WC defense, demonstrating a proven track record of handling all aspects of workers' compensation claims, from inception to resolution. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent WC Defense Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in all phases of workers' compensation litigation, including trials, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
3. Interacting with clients, claimants, counsel, and the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
4. Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on workers' compensation laws and regulations.
5. Developing strategies for defending workers' compensation claims, and advising clients on risk management and claim prevention.
6. Staying current with developments in workers' compensation law and sharing knowledge with team members.
7. Coordinating with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to facilitate case resolution.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Permanent WC Defense Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a WC Defense Attorney or similar role.
4. Exceptional knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
5. Strong negotiation and litigation skills, with a history of successful case resolutions.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
10. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
