We are seeking a seasoned Permanent WC Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, directly impacting the lives of our clients. The candidate will be responsible for handling Workers' Compensation cases, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. This position requires an individual with a strong sense of responsibility, an in-depth understanding of Workers' Compensation law, and a passion for defending the rights of employers and insurance companies.
Responsibilities
1. Represent clients in all phases of Workers' Compensation litigation including trials, appeals, settlement negotiations, and mediations.
2. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on Workers' Compensation matters.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and other necessary correspondence.
4. Conduct thorough case analysis, investigation, and research to gather evidence and formulate defense strategies.
5. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently and favorably for our clients.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in Workers' Compensation law and regulations and inform clients of any potential impacts.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
8. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to share knowledge, strategize, and ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney.
3. Active member in good standing with the State Bar.
4. Proven track record of successfully representing clients in Workers' Compensation cases.
5. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably for clients.
6. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with varying deadlines.
9. High level of professionalism and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
10. Demonstrated commitment to staying abreast of changes in Workers' Compensation law and regulations.
