Job Details
Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing engineering projects in a build-to-order production environment. Interface with customers, other engineers and shop floor personnel to determine most effective manufacturing methods.
Essential Functions
Design and develop processes/procedures in a job-shop environment including:
Tooling requirements for formed, machined and welded metal components including fixtures for welding, machining, assembly and inspection.
Develop, analyze and improve Bills-Of-Material (BOM’s) manufacturing planning and work instructions
Interface with customers on part requirements and specifications
Provide job estimates for customer request-for-quotes (RFQ’s)
Analyze and plan work force utilization and workflow for maximum efficiency
Work with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods
Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs
