We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Welding Supervisor to join our fast-paced construction team. This is a permanent role that requires a professional with a strong background in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and ARC. The ideal candidate will be proficient in weld inspections, reading and interpreting blueprints, working with aluminum, stamping, machinery, and operating welding and fabricating equipment. This is a leadership role that requires excellent management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality, safe, and durable structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of welders and related workers in the fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal structures and equipment.
  • Conduct regular weld inspections to ensure the highest quality of work and adherence to safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine appropriate welding process, and supervise the workers in the welding process.
  • Establish and enforce operational procedures for activities such as welding, verifying dimensions, or testing welds.
  • Ensure all welding work meets set specifications and standards.
  • Train and mentor new staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of welding and fabricating equipment.
  • Proactively identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment, complying with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a welding supervisory role in the construction industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
  • Proven experience with weld inspections, reading and interpreting blueprints, working with aluminum, stamping, and machinery.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate welding and fabricating equipment.
  • Welding certification is required.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
