Responsibilities:
As a Workers Comp' Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Handling all aspects of workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
3. Representing clients at workers' compensation hearings and trials.
4. Taking and defending depositions, including preparing clients and witnesses.
5. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
6. Providing legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation law.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
8. Staying up-to-date on changes in workers' compensation law and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Workers Comp' Associate Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
5. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
6. Experience with legal discovery and trial procedures.
7. Ability to manage a full caseload independently and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent negotiation and client management skills.
