We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Workers Compensation Associate to join our team in the medical industry. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and career in a dynamic and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling workers' compensation claims and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The role requires a deep understanding of the insurance claim process and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and injured workers.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and process workers' compensation claims, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and updated.
2. Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and injured workers to facilitate the claim process.
3. Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive patient information.
4. Analyze and evaluate medical reports to determine the validity of claims and recommend appropriate compensation.
5. Coordinate with the legal team to handle disputed claims and represent the organization in hearings if necessary.
6. Develop and implement strategies to minimize the risk of workers' compensation claims.
7. Provide guidance and training to staff on workers' compensation issues and HIPAA regulations.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
9. Prepare and present reports on claim trends, costs, and other relevant metrics to management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling workers' compensation claims in the healthcare industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the insurance claim process.
4. Excellent analytical skills to evaluate medical reports and determine the validity of claims.
5. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
6. Proficient in using computer systems and software used in managing workers' compensation claims.
7. Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
