Our prestigious legal firm is seeking an experienced and dedicated Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our team. This is a hybrid position, allowing for a balance of remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation defense, Michigan workers' compensation, and insurance defense. This position offers a unique opportunity for those who have a passion for law, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to provide high-quality legal services to our esteemed clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Workers' Compensation Attorney, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including but not limited to:

1. Representing clients in all aspects of workers' compensation cases.
2. Interpreting workers' compensation laws and advising clients on their rights and responsibilities.
3. Conducting research and analysis of legal problems, interpreting laws, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.
4. Drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs.
5. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in disputed workers' compensation claims.
6. Advocating for clients before administrative judges or boards in workers' compensation matters.
7. Collaborating and communicating effectively with a diverse team of professionals, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys.
8. Maintaining current knowledge of Michigan workers' compensation law and insurance defense strategies.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 4+ years of experience as a workers' compensation attorney, with particular focus on workers' compensation defense, Michigan workers' compensation, and insurance defense.
3. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan.
4. Exceptional research, negotiation, and presentation skills.
5. Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to providing top-tier legal services.
