Are you a seasoned Workers Compensation Attorney with a passion for advocating for the rights of injured workers? We are seeking a dedicated, motivated attorney with a strong background in workers compensation to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to handle complex cases and make a significant impact on the lives of your clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Workers Compensation Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients who have been injured on the job. Your duties will include:
1. Handling all aspects of the litigation process, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Conducting legal research to gather relevant information for cases and staying updated on the latest laws and regulations related to workers compensation.
3. Representing clients in court and advocating on their behalf during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
4. Negotiating settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to secure the best possible outcome for clients.
5. Preparing and reviewing legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
6. Conducting depositions of medical experts, claimants, and other parties.
7. Participating in mediations to resolve disputes and reach favorable settlements for clients.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should be a highly skilled attorney with a strong understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Workers Compensation Attorney.
4. Proven experience with legal research, courtroom representation, disability cases, insurance negotiations, depositions, and mediations.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for clients in high-pressure situations.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and formulate effective legal strategies.
7. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
