Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity.
2. Prepare legal documents and reports with a high level of accuracy.
3. Conduct depositions of claimants, medical personnel, and other relevant parties.
4. Represent employers and carriers before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
5. Conduct and direct legal research to stay updated on current workers' compensation laws and regulations.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in conjunction with claims adjusters.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active member in good standing with the State Bar.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
4. Proven track record in conducting depositions and trials.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks.
7. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
