As a Permanent Working Foreman-Structural Concrete, you will be at the heart of our construction projects, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of our structural concrete works. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be actively involved in the construction process, from planning to execution. You will be responsible for overseeing the construction team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are upheld at all times. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where your skills will be challenged and developed.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and participate in the daily construction activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
2. Read and interpret plans, layout and set elevations, ensuring work is carried out as per the specifications.
3. Supervise and guide the construction team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging team performance.
4. Ensure all construction works, including sidewalks, curbs, and ADA, are carried out in compliance with public works and commercial construction standards.
5. Maintain and operate hand tools and other equipment, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.
6. Coordinate with project managers and other team members, providing regular updates on project progress.
7. Identify any potential issues or delays and develop effective solutions to mitigate them.
8. Uphold the highest standards of safety, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in structural concrete.
2. Proven experience in a foreman or supervisory role, with a strong ability to lead and motivate a team.
3. Extensive knowledge of CIP (Cast In Place) concrete procedures and practices.
4. Proficient in the use of hand tools and other construction equipment.
5. Ability to read and interpret plans, layout and set elevations.
6. Experience in public works and commercial construction, with a focus on sidewalks, curbs, and ADA.
7. Valid driver's license.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues quickly and effectively.
9. Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with team members and project managers.
10. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality in all work.
