Responsibilities:
Manage construction accounting processes, including project cost tracking, AIA invoicing, billing, and Time & Materials (T&M).
Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
Collaborate with project teams to support budgeting and cost management.
Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and maintain records.

Qualifications:
Extensive experience in construction accounting, with expertise in project cost management, AIA invoicing, billing, and T&M.
Proficiency with Vista Viewpoint, Sage, or Timberline software is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time role that provides an excellent opportunity to lead and manage our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project cost accounting, cost accounting, and be proficient in Sage 300 and Timberline. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in the financial management of our projects, overseeing AIA invoicing and billings, T&M (Time and Materials), and utilizing the percent of completion method for revenue recognition. If you are a seasoned professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for construction, this role could be a perfect fit for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Manage the cost accounting system, procedures, and cost control measures.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
  • Lead the project cost accounting, including T&M, AIA invoicing, and billings.
  • Utilize the percent of completion method for revenue recognition and provide accurate reports.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports, and statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and preparation of operating data and special reports as required.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the Construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 and Timberline software.
  • Strong understanding of project cost accounting, cost accounting, T&M, AIA invoicing, AIA billings, and percent of completion method.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to direct and supervise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
