Our client, a leading full-service California law firm, is actively recruiting for a career-oriented Privacy Associate to join their expanding Intellectual Property practice in Irvine. We are seeking attorneys with 2+ years of practical privacy/data protection experience. Academic background from a top law school and CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT certifications will play a factor in consideration. Core responsibilities include:

  • Advise clients on multi-jurisdictional privacy compliance strategies (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, HIPAA, GLBA, and emerging state laws)
  • Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, privacy policies, and incident response plans
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and manage data mapping initiatives
  • Lead data breach response efforts and coordinate with forensic teams and regulators
  • Counsel on AI governance, biometric data, and emerging technology privacy issues
  • Support M&A transactions with privacy due diligence and integration planning
  • Advise on cross-border data transfers and international privacy frameworks
