Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Purchase direct materials, capital equipment and MRO for fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Analyze ERP/MRP data to determine optimal stock, inventory levels, and order quantities
  • Initiate timely purchasing transactions that achieve company quality, schedule, cost, legal and strategic objectives.
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams and suppliers to continuously reduce costs and inventory levels.
  • Maintain purchasing data in ERP/MRP system.
  • Continuously implement process improvements and investigate part shortages and implement short term and long-term solutions.

MUST HAVE, experience with majority of the following:
  • Purchasing in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a JIT (LEAN) manufacturing environment
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE Preferred)
  • Experience utilizing purchasing models, plans and procedures to optimize efficiency by cut costs and time.
  • Purchasing experience of direct materials, capital equipment and MRO.

NICE TO HAVE:
  • J.D. Edwards One World ERP system preferred
  • APICS certification is a plus
