Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Purchase direct materials, capital equipment and MRO for fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Analyze ERP/MRP data to determine optimal stock, inventory levels, and order quantities
- Initiate timely purchasing transactions that achieve company quality, schedule, cost, legal and strategic objectives.
- Work with internal cross-functional teams and suppliers to continuously reduce costs and inventory levels.
- Maintain purchasing data in ERP/MRP system.
- Continuously implement process improvements and investigate part shortages and implement short term and long-term solutions.
MUST HAVE, experience with majority of the following:
- Purchasing in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in a JIT (LEAN) manufacturing environment
- Strong ERP/MRP experience (JDE Preferred)
- Experience utilizing purchasing models, plans and procedures to optimize efficiency by cut costs and time.
- Purchasing experience of direct materials, capital equipment and MRO.
NICE TO HAVE:
- J.D. Edwards One World ERP system preferred
- APICS certification is a plus
