We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team at a Medical Device Manufacturer in the Scientific industry. As the Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations, managing the plant's inventory controls, and leading the FP&A team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, plant experience, and inventory controls, with at least 5 years of experience in the medical device industry.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations, including implementing and maintaining internal controls
- Manage the plant's inventory controls, including physical inventory counts and reconciliations
- Lead the FP&A team in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing financial data to support business decisions
- Provide financial analysis and support to other departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the Board of Directors
- Manage the annual audit process and work with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory agencies
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX regulations
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory controls
- Plant experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with compliance and audit processes
- Management experience, including hiring, training, and performance management
