Job Details

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Manage all general day-to-day accounting functions and month-end close for multiple legal entities.
  • Assist with preparation of all regulatory reporting requirements for the company’s registered broker-dealer and securities-based swap dealer including daily net capital, customer/PAB reserve computations, FOCUS, SSOI, OBS, etc.
  • Supervise accounts payable, payroll, and monthly accruals while ensuring proper segregation of duties and internal controls are in place.
  • Assist with completion and review of monthly global consolidation including intercompany eliminations, equity pickups, and foreign currency revaluations.
  • Assist with completion of annual audits including providing necessary documentation, support, and explanations to the company’s external auditors.
  • Manage shared services expense allocations for affiliates in accordance with expense sharing agreements.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth experience with SEC Rules 15c3-1 and 15c3-3 as they pertain to a clearing broker dealer including capital deductions and securities haircuts.
  • Automation of processes including working with data teams to build out reporting.
  • Ability to work in a flat management structure to achieve overall team goals.
  • Demonstrated experience with a large multi-currency general ledger system (NetSuite is a plus).
  • Experience using advanced excel functions such as xlookups, sumifs, and pivot tables to effectively summarize and manage large and complex datasets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy of financial records and reconciliations.
