What you will be doing:
Develop software in C++ within a Linux environment to meet the system requirements for the Navy
Write code, test, integrate and document software solutions
Analyze system, functional and performance requirements and how they impact new or existing code
Conduct software peer reviews for others on your team
Perform software unit test, and supporting integration and test
Shape future products by contributing to the architecture framework used across multiple products or systems
MUST HAVES for this position:
A Bachelor’s degree in software/electric engineering or computer science, a related specialized area or field
Proficiency in writing software in C++ understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Knowledge of using development kits and software modeling tools
EXTRA CREDIT SKILLS:
Experience with Agile development
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Creative thinking with the ability to multi-task
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative (team) environment
Ability to quickly grasp and apply new information
Ability to handle more complex assignments as experience progresses
Self-motivated, engaged, continuously learning and looking for ways to improve things
