We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Hybrid Accounting Manager to join our team. This role is critical to our organization as it ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of our financial operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in audit, convenience retail (c-store), restaurant, and/or grocery industry, and must be familiar with PDI software. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our company's financial health and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, report variances, and prepare business activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Analyze the company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  • Assist in producing accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the convenience retail (c-store), restaurant, and/or grocery industry.
  • Knowledge of PDI software is a must.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
