Job Details:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Trademark Specialist to join our dynamic and expanding legal team. This is a unique 100% remote opportunity that allows you to work from anywhere. As a Trademark Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and protecting our company's intellectual property assets. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to trademark docketing, intellectual property rights, and trademark portfolio management.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain the company’s global trademark portfolio, including conducting trademark searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, and monitoring trademark deadlines.
2. Coordinate with external legal counsel on global trademark registration, prosecution, and enforcement matters.
3. Assist with the preparation, filing, and prosecution of trademark applications at the USPTO and globally.
4. Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches and provide risk assessments.
5. Maintain the trademark docketing system and ensure all deadlines are met.
6. Assist with intellectual property-related disputes and litigation.
7. Monitor and report on potential trademark infringements.
8. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on trademark usage and compliance.
9. Assist with the development and implementation of intellectual property policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry.
3. Strong knowledge of US and international trademark laws and procedures.
4. Experience with trademark docketing systems and intellectual property databases.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
10. Certified Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar certification is a plus.
