The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in real estate law and have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a legal setting. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Real Estate Legal Assistant will provide essential support to our attorneys, ensuring the seamless execution of real estate transactions and related legal processes.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare and review real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, contracts, and closing statements.
Conduct thorough title searches and assist in resolving any title-related issues.
Coordinate and manage real estate closings, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly executed and filed.
Assist in the preparation and submission of legal documents to relevant authorities and agencies for property transfers, zoning, and other matters.
Organize and maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems for real estate cases and client records.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, real estate agents, lenders, and other relevant parties to facilitate the timely progression of transactions.
Perform research to support legal proceedings, including case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to real estate matters.
Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls, and manage attorney calendars to optimize workflow and time management.
Provide administrative support, such as drafting correspondence, answering phone calls, and managing email communications.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience + a high school diploma (or higher)
