Job Details

Responsibilities:
As a Legal Billing Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Coordinating and executing all activities related to client billing, including preparing, finalizing, and sending out client invoices in a timely manner.
2. Utilizing legal billing software, such as Rippe, SurePoint, and Aderant, to manage and process billing information.
3. Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to gather and validate billing information.
4. Resolving any billing discrepancies or errors, and communicating with clients as necessary to ensure their understanding and satisfaction.
5. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date billing records, and providing regular reports on billing activities and status.
6. Assisting with the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to billing and financial transactions.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Legal Billing Coordinator position will have the following qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years billing and/or e-billing experience in a legal environment required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with Rippe/SurePoint or Aderant a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Oriented toward teamwork
  • Ability to complete projects within required time frame
  • Ability to proofread invoices for grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Reports to the office and/or begins work from a remote location in a reliable and punctual manner in compliance with the Firm’s Attendance and Agile Workplace Policies
  • Committed to following all Firm security protocols and maintaining information security
