Our law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic Civil Litigation Practice Group. The successful candidate will be a key player in our litigation department, providing comprehensive support to our attorneys and clients. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for:
1. Assisting with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, case management, and trial preparation.
2. Conducting extensive legal research and analysis.
3. Drafting and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
4. Coordinating and managing e-filing in state and federal courts, as well as appellate courts.
5. Providing comprehensive litigation support, including organizing and maintaining case files, scheduling and coordinating meetings, and tracking deadlines.
6. Collaborating closely with attorneys and clients to ensure seamless case progression.
7. Navigating complex labor and employment laws and regulations.
8. Ensuring all actions, from document preparation to case management, are in compliance with legal procedures and standards.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant position, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with proven trial experience.
2. At least 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in labor and employment law.
3. Proficiency in e-filing and eFiling systems.
4. Strong legal research skills and a thorough understanding of state, federal, and appellate court procedures.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
6. The ability to draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence with accuracy and precision.
7. A proven track record in case management and litigation support.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. A commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct.
