We seek a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Medical Dosimetrist to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in physical science or graduate from an accredited radiation therapy technology program. Additionally, the candidate must have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and graduate from a formal dosimetry program. The role requires a minimum of three (3) years of direct dosimetry experience, and certification as a Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or eligibility for certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The Permanent Medical Dosimetrist will develop and implement radiation treatment plans for cancer patients. The candidate will work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure the treatment plans are accurate and effective. The dosimetrist will use advanced computer software to calculate and deliver the appropriate radiation dose to the patient's tumor while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. The candidate will also monitor the patient's progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
