Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Property Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the commercial real estate industry. As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our commercial properties. This is a permanent position that offers excellent growth opportunities and a competitive salary package.

Responsibilities:

1. CAM Reconciliations: Conduct accurate and timely reconciliations of Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and industry standards.

2. Yardi Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of Yardi software to perform various accounting functions, such as maintaining property records, generating financial reports, and analyzing property performance.

3. Property Accounting: Apply your in-depth understanding of property accounting principles to manage the financial activities of our commercial properties, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

4. Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.

5. Monthly GL Reviews: Conduct comprehensive reviews of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, and identifying any discrepancies or irregularities. Take necessary actions to rectify errors and maintain accurate financial records.

6. Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and internal controls.

7. Commercial Real Estate Accounting: Apply your extensive knowledge of commercial real estate accounting practices to analyze property financials, including revenue and expense analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the commercial real estate industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of property financials and accounting principles.

2. CAM Reconciliations: Proven experience in conducting CAM reconciliations, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and industry standards.

3. Yardi Proficiency: Extensive knowledge and experience working with Yardi software, including generating financial reports, maintaining property records, and analyzing property performance.

4. Bank Reconciliations: Strong expertise in performing monthly bank reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues promptly.

5. Monthly GL Reviews: Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive reviews of general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and take necessary actions to rectify errors.

6. Journal Entries: Proficient in preparing and posting journal entries accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to accounting principles and internal controls.

7. Commercial Real Estate Accounting: In-depth knowledge and experience in commercial real estate accounting practices, including revenue and expense analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
