We are seeking a skilled and passionate Permanent Rad Tech to join our dynamic and collaborative healthcare team. You will be playing a key role in patient care, working directly with doctors and patients to produce high-quality radiographs for diagnostic purposes. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Rad Tech, your duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Performing diagnostic imaging examinations using radiographic equipment.
2. Ensuring the patient's safety during procedures.
3. Preparing patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and answering their questions to reduce anxiety.
4. Collaborating with radiologists to evaluate the images and to determine if additional images need to be taken.
5. Maintaining accurate patient records and adhering to the facility's standards for handling confidential information.
6. Regularly inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order and notifying management of any issues.
7. Staying abreast of the latest developments in radiographic technology and participating in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess the following:
1. An associate's or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
2. A valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) certification.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Rad Tech.
4. Strong technical skills with the ability to operate and troubleshoot radiographic equipment.
5. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to explain procedures and put patients at ease.
6. A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
