We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Property Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent role for a seasoned professional who will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting aspects of our multifamily properties. The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, providing financial insights and expertise to drive business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in multifamily accounting, who is looking to contribute to a dynamic and growing company.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial management for a portfolio of multifamily properties.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all financial data.
4. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
5. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to develop and implement budget and financial plans.
6. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
7. Providing financial expertise and advice to management to aid in business decisions.
8. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
9. Managing and mentoring junior accounting staff.
10. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property or multifamily accounting.
3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
4. Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
8. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
