We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our growing team in the engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will also be tasked with auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of AR, AP, and budgeting.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Process invoices and vendor payments in a timely manner.
• Maintain banking and other financial relationships.
• Establish and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, etc.
• Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
• Complete end of month close procedures.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Collaborate with management on the development and execution of funding strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive in identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
