Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Buyer for our plant. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team and contribute significantly to our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, strategic sourcing, materials management, and conducting cost analysis. This role will also involve forecasting, logistics, and budgeting to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. With your expertise, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's success by ensuring we have the materials we need, when we need them, and at the best possible price.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies for manufacturing operations.
2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
7. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
8. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
9. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
10. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
11. Manage and control all aspects of materials management, including the planning and coordination of purchasing, inventory control, and warehousing.
12. Develop and manage departmental budgets.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within an FDA regulated Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in negotiation and vendor management.
4. Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
5. Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
6. Strong project management and leadership skills.
7. Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors.
8. Proficient in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
9. Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of cost analysis and forecasting.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
