Controller

We are on the hunt for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Controller. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health and integrity of our organization. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise in accounting and financial management will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy and informing key business decisions.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Liaise with our Senior Management team and the board to present financials and advice on the financial implications of business decisions and strategies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position must have:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification will be considered a plus.
2. A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
4. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
5. Proficiency in accounting software.
6. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
7. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. A problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.
10. The highest level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
